During these six days, first responders receive group and individual therapy, process critical incidents, and learn tools and skills for managing stress. Warrior Ranch Foundation ~ https://www.warriorranchfoundation.org  (631)740-9049   Through horse interaction, Warrior Ranch provides a safe haven of healing and well being for Veterans, First Responders and horses.  The purpose of this program is to assist Veterans and First Responders with a focus on those suffering from PTSD. By rescuing, retraining, and repurposing horses, the Warrior Ranch Foundation will give Veterans and First Responders a path and purpose. The Warrior Ranch Foundation will educate on the nature of horses. An equine specialist will do the initial retraining while the Veterans and First Responders observes. When the equine specialist deems the horse safe, the Veterans or First Responder will step into the arena with a trainer and execute the basic skills he or she was taught.”
